WEBBCo welcomes greater support for low emission maritime vessels

WEBBCo welcomes the recent New Zealand Budget announcement which includes greater support for low emission transportation projects.

The former Low Emission Vehicles Contestable Fund (LEVCF) will become the Low Emission Transport Fund (LETF) to reflect a change in eligibility for projects in additional areas which includes maritime vessels.

“What this demonstrates,” says Fraser Foote, Managing Director of Wellington Electric Boat Building Company, “is the government’s commitment to more projects like ours, where Kiwis are getting on with the huge but critical task of reducing emissions nationwide. At WEBBCo, we believe that actions speak louder than words, and this latest budget announcement shows the government believes that too.”
